Isopropyl alcohol is a colorless, flammable chemical compound with a strong odor. As an isopropyl group linked to a hydroxyl group, it is the simplest example of a secondary alcohol, where the alcohol carbon atom is attached to two other carbon atoms.

Application

• Used for producing medicine, cosmetics, plastics, spicery, coating etc.
• Used as a chemical raw material in producing acetone, hydrogen peroxide, valerone, isopropamide etc.;
• Used as the solvent of rubber, coating, shellac, alkaloid etc.
• Used as antifreezer, cleaning agent, dispersant for paint production, degreaser, and fixative, diluent and dehydrant in dyeing industry, etc.
