Acrylonitrile is an important monomer in synthetic fibers, rubber and resins. Polyacrylonitrile fiber made from acrylonitrile is acrylic, its properties are very like wool, so it is also called synthetic wool. Acrylonitrile and butadiene copolymerization can be made of nitrile rubber, has good oil resistance, cold resistance, wear resistance, and electrical insulation properties, and in most chemical solvents, sunlight and heat action, the performance is relatively stable. It can be used in the manufacture of water-resistant agents and adhesives. It is also used in other organic synthesis and pharmaceutical industry, and as a fumigant for cereals.
