Propylene carbonate is a colorless and odorless flammable liquid.
It is miscible with ether, acetone, benzene, chloroform, vinyl acetate, etc., soluble in water and carbon tetrachloride. The absorption capacity of carbon dioxide is very strong and the properties are stable. Industrially, it is obtained by adding propylene oxide and carbon dioxide under a certain pressure and then distillation under reduced pressure. It can be used for oily solvents, spinning solvents, olefins, aromatic hydrocarbon extractants, carbon dioxide absorbents, water-soluble dyes and pigment dispersants, etc.

 

 

Application

1. In the electronics industry, it can be used as an excellent medium for high-energy batteries and capacitors. In the polymer industry, it can be used as a solvent and plasticizer for polymers. Used as a plasticizer for adhesives and sealants. It can also be used as a phenolic resin curing accelerator and a dispersant for water-soluble adhesive pigments and fillers.
2. The chemical industry is the main raw material for the synthesis of dimethyl carbonate and can also be used to remove carbon dioxide and hydrogen sulfide from natural gas and petroleum cracked gas.
3. It can be used in textile, printing and dyeing industries. Packing: 200kg galvanized iron drum, or according to customer requirements. Storage and transportation should be stored in a cool, dry and well-ventilated place. The cylinder should be placed vertically to avoid heat and exploding sunlight.
